Tröllafoss is a waterfall on the Leirvogsá, in the Kjalarnes area of Iceland's Capital Region. The name means the trolls' waterfall. The river drops into a gorge and stays out of sight until close by. Getting there is the difficulty: both roads towards the falls are private, and the river has washed out roads on the approach. People who reach it on foot describe an easy walk and open landscape.

On foot the waterfall can be reached, but the car has to be left very far back from the spot. One person got there on horseback. Those who do arrive describe an easy walk and open, empty country. The river drops over stepped dark basalt and stays hidden from the ground around it until close by.

On foot the waterfall is reachable, but that means leaving the car very far from the spot and covering the rest on your own legs. One visitor made the trip on horseback. Check the access situation before setting out, because it has changed more than once.
