Aurora Reykjavík — The Northern Lights Center

Aurora Reykjavík explains the light many visitors come to Iceland hoping to see. Panels cover the solar physics and the old myths, and a wall of photographers' work doubles as a camera-settings guide. The centrepiece is a 360° VR headset that puts you under a full-sky aurora, plus a 30-minute film of real Icelandic displays in a bean-bag cinema. It is open all day, all year, so it works in bright summer or on a cloudy winter night.
