Whales of Iceland
About the place
The museum opened in 2015 in a warehouse in Reykjavík's Grandi harbour district. Its heated, dimly lit hall holds full-scale models of the whales and dolphins found in Icelandic waters. An audio guide and short films come with the ticket, there is a children's area, and a café and shop sit by the entrance. An hour indoors that settles the question of how big these animals really are.
