Valahnukur Peak rises sharply in the center of Thorsmork. It provides a 360-degree panorama of three glaciers: Eyjafjallajokull, Mýrdalsjökull, and Tindfjallajökull. The peak overlooks the Kvit River valley, with its silver streams weaving over black sand. Moss-covered ridges and birch forests surround the area, a rare sight in Iceland. The hike to Valahnukur is popular for its breathtaking scenery and wildlife observation opportunities.
