Bejarfoss Waterfall

Bejarfoss Waterfall

About the place

Bæjarfoss — the town falls — drops in a thin white ribbon down the slope behind Ólafsvík, below the steep peak Enni. It is no headline waterfall, but the sort of stop that rewards you for being in town anyway. A gentle path climbs from the centre near the church to the base, and the view opens back over the coloured roofs, the harbour and the wide sweep of Breiðafjörður. Evenings, with the water lit low, are the best of it.
