Svodufoss Waterfall

The waterfall drops over a broad basalt ledge, where the contrasting dark rock and white water create a striking visual effect. The short walking path leads across open fields to a viewpoint offering a clear look at the entire cascade. The area is surrounded by agricultural land with distant views of mountains and the Snaefellsjokull glacier on clear days. Svodufoss is often included in scenic routes around the northern part of the peninsula.
