Fossdalsfoss Waterfall

About the place
Fossdalsfoss is a striking vertical waterfall located on the rocky coastline at the mouth of a narrow valley. The water flows down steep, moss-lined cliffs and continues directly into the calm waters of Eyjafjordur. Its remote location makes it far easier to reach from the sea, where boat and jet-ski tours offer the closest and most impressive views. The land route along the coastline is possible but requires a long and demanding 9-kilometre hike one way. This is a scenic and secluded destination suited for travelers seeking dramatic landscapes along Iceland’s coast.
