Fossdalsfoss Waterfall

Fossdalsfoss is a tall, thin waterfall on the wild coast near Ólafsfjörður in north Iceland, where a stream runs down dark, moss-lined cliffs and falls into the calm water of Eyjafjörður. There is no easy road to it. The classic way to see it is from the sea, on a boat or jet-ski tour that noses up to the foot of the falls; on foot it is a hard 9 km round-trip hike over rough ground. It stays a quiet, little-visited stretch of northern coast.
