Husavik Mountain

About the place
Husavik Mountain rises majestically above the town at 417 meters. The mountain offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Skjalfandi Bay and the surrounding landscapes. On clear days, visitors may spot whales in the bay from above. To the west, jagged peaks of the Trollaskagi Peninsula are visible, while to the east stretch endless wastelands. A gravel road and several hiking trails lead to the summit, making it accessible for both vehicles and pedestrians. The mountain is popular with photographers capturing the midnight sun and with visitors seeking solitude and elevated perspectives.
