Husavik Panoramic View
About the place
Husavik Panoramic View is a roadside lookout on the heath southeast of Húsavík, where the whole town spreads out below. The view takes in the colourful houses around the wooden church, the harbour where whale-watching schooners set out into Skjálfandi Bay, and snow-streaked mountains across the water. It is a drive-to stop, not a climb, best on a clear evening when the low sun turns the bay gold or the aurora comes out.
