Langisjor Camping
About the place
Langisjor Camping is on the eastern shore of Lake Langisjor, a 20 km long lake squeezed between black volcanic mountains and the Vatnajokull glacier. The water is a deep blue-green, and the silence is broken only by the wind. The campsite is a simple area for tents and 4x4 vehicles, offering a true wilderness experience. Access is possible only via F-roads and river crossings, suitable for prepared off-road vehicles in summer. Nearby Sveinstindur mountain provides one of Iceland’s most epic panoramic views: the lake, endless lava fields, and the glacier cap.
