Langisjor Camping

Langisjór Camping is a bare tent site at the north-eastern tip of a 20 km glacier-fed lake, hemmed in by black volcanic ridges deep in the Fjallabak highlands. Facilities amount to a ranger hut and simple toilets — no showers, no electricity, cash only. The setting is the reason to come: turquoise water, green moss on black sand and complete silence. Getting here means a rough four-wheel-drive track with river crossings, and few people make it.
