Myvatn Nature Baths

About the place
Myvatn Nature Baths are the primary geothermal attraction of northern Iceland, set within a zone of intense volcanic activity. The water rises from a borehole approximately 2500 meters deep and is rich in silica and sulfur. This mineral composition gives the pools their distinctive milky blue color and skin-friendly properties. The baths are surrounded by solidified lava fields and steaming fumaroles. The landscape feels truly otherworldly, shaped by vivid mineral deposits and constant geothermal steam.
