Sun Voyager is a cultural landmark and steel sculpture located on the Reykjavik waterfront. Its design creates the impression of a vessel sailing toward Faxafloi Bay. The sleek steel lines reflect Iceland’s changing skies, from golden sunsets to steel-gray winter waves. Mount Esja forms a majestic backdrop, making it ideal for photography. Designed by Jón Gunnar Arnason for Reykjavik’s 200th anniversary, the sculpture symbolizes progress and the endless search for new horizons.
