Dettifoss Waterfall

About the place
Dettifoss Waterfall plunges into a deep canyon carved by glacial floods. The water spreads across a wide rocky edge before dropping with great force. Mist and ground vibrations are often felt near the viewpoints. The waterfall is part of Vatnajokull National Park and easily accessible from marked paths. Dettifoss is often visited together with nearby Selfoss and Hafragilsfoss.
