About the place
Litlanesfoss Waterfall descends between tall basalt columns formed by ancient lava flows. The regular geometric shapes of the rock walls frame the falling water. A maintained trail allows visitors to approach the waterfall from below. The site is often visited together with nearby Hengifoss further up the valley.
